YUBARI MELON

夕張メロン

YUBARI MELON is the Yubari King, a species produced by the Yubari Melon Association in Yubari City, Hokkaido. It weighs 1.0 to 2.5kg and is oval in shape with a ‘net’ pattern. Its flesh is orange and less fibrous than usual, so it is very soft and juicy. It is a variety possessing a rich aroma and having a sugar content of more than 10 %.

品種名は夕張キングで、夕張市のJA夕張が生産しています。果実外観は、果重は1.0～2.5kg、形状は長円形で、ネットが発生します。果実内部は果肉色がオレンジ色で、果肉は繊維質が少ないことから非常に柔らかく、ジューシーです。芳醇な香りが強い品種で、糖度は10度以上に達します。

TOKACHI KAWANISHI NAGAIMO

十勝川西長いも

TOKACHI KAWANISHI NAGAIMO is a yam produced in Hokkaido’s Tokachi district and a variant of the short Yamatoimo variety which looks like a sake bottle. Their skin and flesh are both white and do not bruise easily. They offer a crunchy texture, are pleasant to eat, and when grated into tororo (yam paste), they are very sticky.
